About five years ago, I suffered a second severe lower disk herniation. My first herniation required extensive surgery, so I thought that I was destined to be back in the operating room. Fortunately for me, Vivian Eisenstadt was my physical therapist. Vivian approached my challenging physical condition with the utmost professionalism. Her combination of applying advanced techniques along with her positive personal energy yielded great results. Session after session, Vivian focused on strengthening my weakened spine and spirit by continuously pushing me physically, while promoting a wellness mind set. By the end of my therapy sessions, I forgot I ever had a serious herniation, and was in the best shape of my life. I owe a lot to Vivian for my continued health today, and still religiously employ the exercises I learned from her. I would strongly recommend Vivian as a physical therapist who can truly improve a patient’s physical, mental and spiritual well being. Michael J. I cannot believe that Vivian Eisenstadt has disguised her true identity this long. Who would have ever imagined that Wonder Woman would become a licensed Physical Therapist? I have truly never felt better. Ask for the Karate Chop.

Dear Vivian: I so wanted you to know I am in awe of your skills. I was feeling simply miserable on the day I saw you. Only 24 hours had passed since a rotten so-and-so had plowed into me and my Corolla. Chip and I had planned to go to Las Vegas for a long weekend and I was very seriously considering cancelling the trip. I was in fear of being stuck in the car for the 5 hour drive that was ahead of me the next day. The work you did with me was remarkable. I felt completely taken care of and secure in knowing you were doing what would help. And it did help – tremendously. The pain in my lower back was relieved by your work on my hip. And the pain in my neck and shoulders vastly lessened by your adjustments and treatments in that area. Not only was the trip largely pain free, it was actually pleasant and relaxing; especially so since Chip drove the whole way. I could sit comfortably and enjoy the good music he had brought along for the journey. The trip back to Los Angeles three days later was just as easy as the trip out. I was in such a good mood, feeling so well, that even losing at the tables didn’t dampen by spirit! It has been 8 days since the accident. I am still sore but can’t even imagine what I would feel like if I hadn’t been to you the day after I was hit. I am confident that I am well on the way to doing cartwheels. (Not that I had been doing those on a daily basis – but wonderful to feel I can if required.) Many, many thanks,

Natasha

Dear Vivian, Clinical therapy is all about getting the job done, and that is exactly what you do. But for the fact that it sounds superlative, I would say you are a wonder woman. I turned up at your door with a really bad dose of tendinitis, Tennis Elbow. Actually it was roofers elbow from banging in the nails on the tree house roof. I had been told that I was going to have to take months of therapy, but a couple a sessions with your infrared wand and deep massage, and I was well on the way to recovery. Before I forget completely I thought I would jot you a line to say thank you for a job well done. Yours sincerely,

I first went to see Vivian at Prevent The Pain Therapy in the fall of 2004 with significant lower back pain that stemmed from two badly diseased lumbar discs. I had already had a micro-discectomy the year before which didn’t help and I was preparing to have the new disc replacement surgery in the spring of 2005. My problem was severely mechanical. I had examined all the options and was pretty sure that I was not going to be fixed by therapy, so I’m not going to tell you that Vivian fixed me or saved me from surgery. I imagine she would be able to do that for many with back problems, but mine was significantly more complicated. What I will tell you is that her methods and approach were perfect. She got me strong and ready for the much needed surgery. I was also taught a new way to think about my spine, back and the core muscles in and around the abdomen while being given very specific techniques and exercises to strengthen my back and correct my posture. These exercises, approaches and treatments are what got me strong enough — both mentally and physically — to be ready for the surgery. I implemented much of what I was taught following the surgery and due in part to her help, at 6 months post operative, I am feeling better than I have in five years. Thanks, Vivian to you and PTPT.

Unlike most PT’s who treat only the pain, Vivian has an unique ability to precisely pinpoint where the source of the pain stems. Her approach is truly comprehesive in treating the pain while simultaneously preventing it from returning. Vivian is truly gifted and I would recommend anyone who either has a problem or is at risk of developing a problem so they don’t have to suffer needlessly. Her approach is truly unique, highly specific to the individual, and personal. You will leave her with the knowledge on how to live pain free. Vivian is truly gifted, I wouldn’t recommend anyone else.

And … Thank you for today. I am so much at peace right now, that I don’t even recognize myself. You are wonderful, and your staff of therapists are also great. They represent you extremely well. Love and Admiration – – Your Steely Dan cover band Band Leader …

Vivian Eisenstadt has worked wonders on my back. She has allowed me to enjoy the last few precious months of my pregnancy. I was suffering from a severe nerve pain in my back as a result of pregnancy. I was in so much pain I could barely walk. I tried yoga, stretching, and exercise none of which helped. Desperate, I asked my OBGYN for help. He referred me to Cedars-Sinai Spinal Institute. The first doctor said I was pregnant and there was nothing they could do – that I would just have to deal with it until the pregnancy ended because I couldn’t take drugs or get epidurals. I refused to give in and argued for a solution. He brought another doctor into the patient room, Dr. Berkeley. After a short discussion, Dr. Berkeley referred me to a Physical Therapist, PTPT run by Vivian Eisenstadt. Thank god for that stroke of luck. After a few sessions with Vivian, I can now walk completely pain free! She is quick, direct and efficient in her diagnosis. I cannot tell you how grateful and relived I am to spend the last few months of my pregnancy without constant pain. I can now enjoy these last few weeks of pregnancy and send loving peace to my baby. Vivian is a godsend.

I am so impressed with Vivian’s ability to spot the source of a physical problem and know just how to treat it in the fewest number of visits. I especially appreciate her keen awareness of the human body and her dedication in making sure that I follow through with her advice on my posture and body alignment. She’s my very own Jewish mother wrapped up in a healing professional.
